TRON 4.0 Online Conference: Charles Wayn — CEO of DLive: Integration of DLive and TRON 4.0

Hi, everyone! My name is Charles Wayne, the CEO of Dlive, you are probably watching this conference from our platform right now. I am honored today to be here at TRON 4.0 global conference and share with you a little bit about D live and also the insights and opportunities we see from this industry.

So here are the topics that I will be covering today. So Dlive is a live streaming platform with users from all over the world covering content categories from e-sports to lifestyle, crypto and news.

We’re committing to talking about content creators and viewers. We take a 0 percent cut from what the content creators can earn and have created a revolutionary reward system where viewers may be rewarded by engaging with the content creators.

The majority of the Dlive users come from the United States, Turkey, and Brazil and currently, we have over 7 million monthly active users and are the second-largest live streaming platform in the country of Turkey. We are also working on an expansion to other countries when we’ll talk about later in this presentation.

So from this timeline, you can see that Dlive was initially launched on the Steem blockchain in December 2017. In September of 2018, Dlive was migrated to Lino Blockchain that is designed for video app developers. And in April of 2019, we signed with PewDiePie for an exclusive streaming partnership which is the largest individual content creator in the world with more than one hundred million subscribers on YouTube.

At the end of the last year, we joined the BitTorrent family, officially becoming a part of the TRON ecosystem. Since then, we have launch features including TRX and BTT staking feature and also, we have implemented deeper integration with BitTorrent product lines.

Today, we have over, like I said, over 7 million monthly active users globally and as I mentioned earlier, we are the top three live stream platforms in Turkey.

So from this chart, you can tell that since we joined the BitTorrent family back in December of 2019, the total number of active users increased to almost double since the end of last year, since we joined the BitTorrent and TRON ecosystem.

On top of this chart, we also have more than, I would say 150 active content creators that are constantly creating live content on the platform. So what differentiates Dlive from other platforms? Number one, Dlive has a better monetization method and distribution to content creators. Dlive, we take as I mentioned, we take zero percent platform cuts on what content creators earn. Based on the growth of the community, content creators are able to get more exposure to viewers on the platform.

Number two, the viewer rewards which we call the treasure chest, for those watching on the Dlive at the moment, you can see there’s a treasure chest on the watch page. We have an algorithm that is constantly measuring the engagement from each from every viewer on the channel.

Later after the presentation, I will also distribute the treasure chest so everyone can experience how the viewer rewards work on Dlive.

Number three, the BTT stake. So for the first time, every BTT stakeholder can earn from the growth of the platform. This is a very unique feature of Dlive that no other platform can — I don’t think any other content platform can offer.

So for BTT staking, for these numbers you can see the BTT staking rewards are huge for BTT stakeholders in Dlive, they’re being incentivized like real shareholder because the reward comes from 25 percent of all donations and paid descriptions on Dlive. This is like a company sharing all their revenue and paying out to shareholders as dividends, right? As you can see from these numbers, we’re currently at 28 percent estimate annualized percentage rate to all BTT stakeholders and up to a 200 percent to all existing Dlive streamers who hold a verified partner, a global partner status in their account. So BTT stakeholders can receive a good return on their investment in the form of BTT. Meanwhile, we’re incentivizing a lot to existing Dlive users. So in talking about the further integration with the TRON 4.0 ecosystem, first, I would like to talk about the BTFS decentralized storage solution.

So actually, last weekend we have enabled the BTFS solution to some of the D live content creators. Maybe you can also find out in some of the user's videos, a past broadcast, or uploaded video and you will see a tag called hosted by BTFS. If you see that tag, that means the video that you’re watching is being hosted on the BTFS distributed storage.

So later we will make it available to more DLive content creators and more DLive videos and eventually, eventually we would like to enable all users. The next part will be more product integration with BitTorrent and Utorrent product lines.

So far, you can already see recommended streamers from BitTorrent desktop clients and also, you can get easy access to Dlive from the BitTorrent and U torrent app, and later, we’ll implement more. So BitTorrent users and Utorrent users can easily discover content on Dlive and eventually, Dlive users and Dlive contributors will get much more exposure from this.

And the last part will be STEEMIT.com integration.

So later this year you will see Dlive…you can get easy access from the website’s home page Steemit.com or a menu bar on the top of it, later this year.

Talking about the future plans of D live. First, we will focus more markets such as the United States, Turkey, and Brazil and expand the community such as Russia and India. We’re still doing the research. We’re comparing the cost and the advantages that we can achieve in certain markets. So after that, you know, we will start to work on the expansion.

And the last but not least, we are working on diversifies our content categories. So right now, I would say Dlive, like, 80 percent of Dlive’s content is still about gaming but later, we will introduce more such as IRL, chatting, we will diversify our content categories on the platform.
